Abstract
Patient experience during 6 hours waiting time after PCI procedure at CCU in SHLK
Background:
In 2005 cardiovascular disease had cause 17,5 million death or its about 30% from world mortality, and about 7,5 from it caused by heart attack. WHO (2006) estimated that in 2015 will be 20 million people die because of cardiovascular disease. Indonesia health department (2006) reported about 26,3% from all hospitalized patient died caused by cardiovascular disease or about 16,7% from all population.
Objectives :
To explore patient experience during 6 hours waiting time an straight legs after PCI procedure at CCU.
Problem statement
After PCI procedure patient have to lying down with straight legs on the bed for 6 hours to prevent complication. It is a long time for patient to spent without doing nothing.
Methods
This study is qualitatively and using phenomenology descriptive methodology. The data will be collected by in depth interview. The research will be analyze using Giorgi’s methods (1985). Data will be analyze from the researcher view
Result
Four themes emerged that describe the participant experiences of 6 hours waiting time lying down with straight still legs: asking nurse attention, anxiety, boredom and discomfort
